Eligibility

  • No purchase or payments are required to enter/win the competition.
  • For either category, Entrants must be students enrolled in the following courses, and should be at least 18 years old.

 

Kitchen Category –

  • The participants can register themselves as a team or individually, the team size ranging from 1-3 members. Members in a team must be from the same institution. One of the team members should be registered as the team leader during registration, who will submit the entry.
  • The entrant(s) must be a student(s) enrolled in Architecture, Engineering, or Design course at an accredited college/university. To be eligible for the competition, entrants should be at least 18 years old.

 

Product Design Category –

  • No team registrations are allowed in this category, this is an individual submission category. 
  • The entrant must be a student enrolled in a Design course (at an accredited college/university in India). To be eligible for the competition, entrants should be at least 18 years old.
  • Employees, contractors, directors and officers of Jindal Lifestyle Ltd., its parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies, distributors, web design, advertising, fulfilment, and the jury involved in the administration, development, fulfilment and execution of this Competition (collectively, “Competition Parties”), and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, and spouse or “step” of each) and those living in the same households of each such individuals (those persons whether related or not who live in the same residence for at least three months during the twelve-month period preceding the start date of the competition) are not eligible to participate. The organisers reserve the sole right to determine eligibility. Void where prohibited.
  • All Entrants must meet the eligibility criteria set forth. The organisers reserve the right to determine eligibility. The competition is not open to the general public.

Key Dates

  • Participants may register for the competition between 12:00:01 AM IST on June 16, 2023, and 11:59:59 PM IST on July 30, 2022.
  • Fully completed designs can be submitted on the website between 12:00:01 AM IST on July 1, 2023, and 11:59:59 PM IST on August 20, 2023. Participants can submit their entries only once, after which no changes will be entertained.
  • The student design project must be fully completed between July 1, 2023, and August 20, 2023.
  • If selected for the second round, the participants will be informed of the same in August 2023, following which, they can prepare for the in-person pitch (grand finale) to be held in Delhi NCR on September 9, 2023. The shortlisted participants for Round Two are required to make their travel and accommodation arrangements, and the same shall not be reimbursed to any such participants.
  • The organisers reserve the right to modify the dates and the structure of the competition at their discretion.

TO SUBMIT AN ENTRY ONLINE

  • Visit the competition website to register. The Entrant must fill the registration form to be a part of the competition.
  • For registration and entry to be valid, the participant must also indicate acceptance of these official rules.
  • All Entrants must have a valid e-mail address (to be entered on the registration form) for the duration of the competition and throughout the judging and notification process.
  • No mail-in entries will be accepted.
  • A participant (whether in a team, or individual) can send in only one entry. Entries cannot be un-submitted, updated, or improved once submitted.
  • By submitting an entry, Entrants agree to the terms set forth in these Terms and Conditions.
  • By submitting an entry, you agree that the design is yours, and there exists no claim in and to the design by any other individual. Kitchen designs may not have won previous awards; must not infringe any third-party’s rights or any other person’s intellectual property rights; may not in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations.
  • Entries containing prohibited content as determined by the organisers, in its sole discretion, to be inappropriate, will be disqualified. The organisers make the final determination as to what Entries are eligible to take part in the competition.
  • The organiser reserves the right, in its reasonable discretion, during or upon completion of the entry period, to request that any entrant resubmit their entry which fails to comply with the Competition entry requirements prior to the judging period.
  • Submission of an entry grants the organiser the unconditional and irrevocable rights to publish, use, adapt, edit and/or modify such entry in any way, in all media, without limitation, and without consideration to the entrant, whether or not such submission is selected as a winning entry. BY SUBMITTING THE ORIGINAL ENTRY, THE ENTRANT REPRESENTS AND WARRANTS THAT HE/SHE HAS ALL RIGHT, TITLE AND INTEREST NECESSARY TO GRANT THE ORGANISER THE WORLDWIDE, IRREVOCABLE AND UNRESTRICTED RIGHT AND LICENSE TO ADAPT, PUBLISH, USE, EDIT, AND/OR MODIFY SUCH ENTRY IN ANY WAY AND POST THE ORIGINAL ENTRY ON THE INTERNET OR USE THE ORIGINAL ENTRY IN ANY OTHER WAY AND AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD THE ORGANISERS HARMLESS FROM ANY CLAIMS TO THE CONTRARY.

 

Selection of Winners

  • The jury will select a winner, and two runners-up from each category.
  • All Entries will be reviewed for compliance with the parameters prior to being judged. Each eligible entry will be judged based on the judging criteria set forth below (“Judging Criteria”). Winners will be required to certify, on information or belief, that their work is their original creation, and it has not won any other awards prior to this competition. Decisions of the jury is final for all matters relating to the competition.

 

JUDGING CRITERIA:

Eligible entries will be judged based on the following parameters:

  • Concept note
  • Functionality & Efficiency
  • Innovation in space
  • Color palette and visual appeal
  • Use of stainless steel
  • Presentation (Professionalism and Communication)
  • Technical detail
  • Feasibility to manufacture the design.
  • Creativity & Originality

 

Prizes

  • Winner
    • A cheque payable to the winner/ winning team (one for each category) in the amount of INR 1,00,000 or MacBook (limited to the product category only).
    • An internship to winners (for both categories). In case of a team participation in the Kitchen Design category, the internship will be offered to all team members.
    • Digital coverage of the winning design(s)
  • First runner up
    • A cheque payable to the winner/ winning team (one for each category) in the amount of INR 60,000.
    • Digital coverage of the design(s)
  • Second runner up
    • A cheque payable to the winner/ winning team (one for each category) in the amount of INR 30,000.
    • Digital coverage of the design(s)
  • The rest of the finalists/ qualifying teams will receive Amazon Vouchers vouchers, with Digital coverage of their designs selected for the grand finale.
  • The top five entries (from each category) from the first round will participate in an in-person Grand Finale on September 9, 2023 (date or mode of finale can be changed at the organisers’ discretion) where the Winner(s) will be announced.
  • Entrants will receive an Amazon voucher worth Rs.10,000 only when they bring in 20 registrations and submissions of the designs.
  • The prize money will have a 30% TDS deduction as per statutory guidelines. No cash equivalent or substitution of any prize is offered. Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable.

 

 

General Conditions

  • By participating, Entrants agree to these Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy (available on the website) which are final and binding in all respects. In case of refusal of the prize by any winner, or such awardee/winner does not claim his/her prize for a period of 10 days, the same shall not be awarded to that awardee/winner. However, Jindal Lifestyle Limited. reserves the right to award the refused award to the runner-up(s). Winners will be notified by email, and such winners will be required to submit a duly signed copy of an Affidavit/Declaration of Eligibility/Liability Release within ten (10) days of the notified email to the awardee/winner, in absence of the same, the prize will be forfeited.
  • If for any reason the competition is not capable of being organized as per the abovementioned schedule, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security or conduction of the competition, the organiser reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who is responsible or who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, modify or terminate the competition.
  • This competition is offered only in India and all claims must be resolved in the courts located in Gurgaon, Haryana.

 

 

 

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE:

  • No liability or responsibility is assumed by the organiser resulting from user’s participation in or attempt to participate in the Competition or download any information in connection with participating in the Competition.
  • No responsibility or liability is assumed by the organisers for technical problems or technical malfunction which may affect the operation of the competition, including but not limited to any of the following occurrences: hardware or software errors; faulty computer, telephone, cable, satellite, network, electronic, wireless or internet connectivity or other online communication problems; errors or limitations of any internet service providers, servers, hosts or providers; garbled, jumbled or faulty data transmissions; failure of any e-mail transmissions to be sent to or received; lost, late, delayed or intercepted e-mail transmissions; inaccessibility of any web site used in connection with the competition, in whole or in part for any reason; traffic congestions on the Internet; unauthorized human or non-human intervention in the operation of the Competition, including without limitation, unauthorized tampering, hacking, theft, virus, bugs, worms; or destruction of any aspect of the Competition, or loss, miscount, misdirection, inaccessibility or unavailability of an account used in connection with the Competition.
  • Organisers are not responsible for any typographical errors in the announcement of prizes or these official rules, or any inaccurate or incorrect data contained on the Web Site. Use of Web Site is at user’s own risk. The organisers are not responsible for any personal injury or property damage or losses of any kind which may be sustained to user’s or any other person’s computer equipment resulting from participation in the Competition, use of the information or the download of any information from the Web Site. By participating in the Competition, the entrant thereby releases the organisers from any and all claims, damages or liabilities arising from or relating to such Entrant’s participation in the Competition, and agrees (a) to resolve any dispute individually, without resort to any class action, (b) under no circumstances will Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and participant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential, or any other damages and (c) any and all claims and Organiser shall not be liable to pay any attorneys’ fees and court costs in case of initiation of any proceedings.
  • By participating in the Competition, Entrants agree that the organisers shall not be liable for any loss or injury resulting from participation in the Competition, acceptance or use of any prize, or any travel related thereto.
  • Except where prohibited by law, by accepting a prize, the Winners grant permission for the organiser and those acting under its authority to use his/her name, photographs, voice and/or likeness, for advertising, promotion and/or publicity purposes, in any and all media now known or hereinafter invented without territorial or time limitations and without additional compensation.
